For a month I had been hyping in the media how my Super Terrace sing-along nights were going toblow everyone’s mind.

During the event week, I checked the weather forecast every hour, especially Thursday, when the firstand most anticipated sing-along was scheduled.

It looked bad! Rain with a 100% probability. I called my partner and said the sing-along would go on regardless of the weather, but maybe weshould leave the bigger banners in storage for now.

On the event day, it rained from the morning onward. Just before the show, the six-piece band and thesinger stood under a rain cover.

Finally, I told the host: “Start the show and grab a photo for me as amemory of the most miserable moment of my entrepreneurial career.”

I literally sat alone in the audience.

The band ironically played CCR’s Have You Ever Seen the Rain, while water trickled down my back allthe way to my butt crack. The songbook was so soaked I couldn’t even turn the pages.

One of my staff members came and sat next to me, which felt good.

That evening I drove home and looked at the photo.

I thought: I could either post this and makemyself a laughingstock, or just forget the whole evening and focus on the next one.

I decided to post it.

The next day, all the biggest media outlets in Finland turned it into clickbait headlines: “Jaajo’s SuperTerrace Flopped” and “Audience No-Show at the Super Terrace.” But guess what happened, on mysocial media channels alone, the photo reached 1.3 million people and sparked a phenomenon whereeveryone promised to come to the next event regardless of the weather.

After that, the sing along events were packed. Even Finland’s top artists, like BESS, wanted to come assurprise performers. It all culminated in the grand finale and last sing-along, with Eurovision as the theme. Two thousandpeople had gathered in the square, TV crews were there, and with the Lights of Shanghai playing, Isang on stage together with Annika Eklund and Laura Voutilainen.

The feeling was unreal and joyful.

Poem

When I have gratitude

Then everything is already within me,

But still I never give up on my dreams,

I follow omens,

I see miracles,

Reflected through gratitude,

everything appears as miraclesIn that moment,

I am already living my dreams

It is too simple for a human to understand, amidst the messiness of life,

the simplicity of it all.

We will never reach the happiness we long for through any external doing or achievement,

if we do not see,

with gratitude in this moment,

all that we are seeking through our actions.

It is all already within us.

And yet,

we make the journey to see all that we had even before we set out.

The secret of happiness is in gazing at all the wonders of the world without forgetting the two drops ofoil in one’s spoon.

Those drops of oil are the greatest treasure.

They were,

They are with us all along our path from our mother’s womb to Mother Earth’s womb.

Those drops of oil,

Through them,

what I desire is already mine,

And the whole universe helps me to attain everything that belongs in my life.

When we desire something with all our heart,

the soul of the entire universe helps us to achieve it.

That is,

when our heart is filled with pure love.

When a person seeks their life’s path with the clear eyes of gratitude,

the whole universe helps them toreach it.

What makes success impossible is only the fear of failure.

I trust,

Most of all when there is nothing to trust in.

Even today,

the morning gave its promise with the light of a new dawn.

After darkness,

there is always light,

Eternal hope,

The promise of the universe.
